Cheap Feeling, Failed Quickly, Disappointed

I bought this with a suite of Whirlpool appliances for a new house that was being built. I'm reasonably pleased with the other appliances. But not this dishwasher! While the exterior appearance has relatively clean lines and nice appearance, that it's about the only thing this machine has going for it. It feels cheap and brittle inside, the control buttons on top are mushy feeling when pressed, and the racks are poorly designed for flexibility. It also takes forever to wash dishes even moderately well...although I understand that crappiness in their basic functions is a component of many modern appliances compared to those built 30 years ago due to efficiency requirements. Worst of all, after owning this appliance new for about 40 days and about 20 wash cycles, it now no longer powers on at all. I fully intend to reach out to warranty to rectify this problem when Whirlpool is open...it may just be a blown thermal fuse. However, this kind of quality control and product longevity is completely unacceptable for a new appliance, even one that was subpar to begin with. I'm truly disappointed in this product.

Looks good and cleans dishes nicely

My husband ordered the dishwasher. He pucked the color I wanted and it looks nice. Dishes are clean. My only problem is it does not dry plastic dishes. I have to open the door and pull the top rack out for all the dishes to air dry. I called immediately from where he purchased and was told it says in the manual you get once the item is installed that it doesn't dry plastic.

Very quiet!

Our old dishwasher broke down and needed to be replaced. We are very happy we selected this dishwasher. It is much quieter than our old one, and we love the utensil holder and the adjustable upper rack.

Clean dishes

I bought this about 3 weeks, and I love it. My dishes are very clean without having to do all the prewashing As before. It is very quiet. Also it is much bigger inside than my old one. It does take longer on the standard cycle, but I always run it at night, so that is not a factor for me. I highly recommend this one.
